Getting to San Diego is easy

You can easily compare your travel options using Rome2rio but here are our local tips:

By plane

San Diego International Airport is located three miles northwest of downtown San Diego. Every day it's served by more than 500 non-stop flights to upwards of 70 domestic and international destinations.

By car

San Diego is a driving city. Freeway 5 is the one that goes north and south from San Ysidro to Blaine, Washington, and runs parallel to the Pacific Ocean.

If you're flying in, rental cars are available at the Consolidated Rental Car Center at the airport.

If you're driving, there is parking at the hotel, use the ACE parking garage at the side of the hotel.

brightonSEO attendees coming for the day get a discounted rate of $11 per day (self-parking) or $16 per day (valet), just pick up a voucher at the conference registration point and, when you leave the garage, insert this after the voucher you were given when entering.

By train

It's easier to get to San Diego by train than you might think if you're coming from somewhere else in California.

The Pacific Surfliner serves stations in San Diego, Orange, Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo counties. There are daily round trips between San Diego and Los Angeles featuring gorgeous ocean views.

Getting around San Diego is easy too

We encourage you to get around the city in an eco-friendly fashion.

Many of the key areas are within walking distance from our conference venue if you fancy a stroll.

As an alternative to Uber, Fred San Diego offers affordable rides in their all-electric shared vehicles.

Iconic and easily spotted, the Red Trolley will take you almost anywhere in the city via it's three different lines.

Not in a rush and looking to sight-see? What could be more romantic than an Old Town Trolley Tour which stops at 11 places and allows you to hop on and off at your leisure.

Fancy travelling further afield? The North County Transit District's COASTER trains connect downtown San Diego and Old Town with coastal communities north of the city, including Solana Beach, Encinitas, Carlsbad and Oceanside.

Take to the water on the Coronado Ferry, which runs between the Broadway Pier, the Convention Center, and the Coronado Ferry Landing providing gorgeous views of the downtown skyline and the Coronado Bridge.

San Diego Trolley Bus

The low rainfall makes San Diego ideal for biking, so why not use your legs to take you to the best sights in the county? Although the city is still waiting on a bike share, there are plenty of places to rent and bikabout San Diego will show you the way.
