Tanya Kant is a Senior Lecturer in Media and Cultural Studies at the University of Sussex.
She is author of the book Making It Personal: Algorithmic Personalization, Identity and Everyday Life and has published work on AI and creative methods for algorithmic literacy, digital identity practice, critical political economy of the web, personalization and broadcasting, and bots.
Her industry and policy work focuses on targeted data ethics, misinformation and AI she has worked with a number of organisations including Ofcom, Open Rights Group, MIT and Full Fact UK.
