SGE & SERPs

SGE is not the future of SERPs

brightonSEO April 2024

In this talk Tom will examine the future of SERPs and SEO in the context of SGE and how Google and Bing fared in their experiments in the field.

Both conceptual and execution problems have plagued SGE, and Bing's gradual demotion of "stories" from position 1 to the bottom of the 2nd page may be a mere embarrassing footnote by the time we meet?

Tom will back this story up with unique data both from parsed SGE SERPs and from any new features launched in this highly evolving arena.

It's difficult to predict what will follow SGEs but Tom will look at what the first year of AI search snippets tells us about what comes next, and which SEO strategies look endangered in this context.
